Why Matfi

Don't take our word for it. Take the paperwork.

1. A complete system — never a patch. We install complete roofing and siding systems, not just shingles or panels. On every full replacement, the flashing is replaced too — always. Old flashing has lived the old roof's life, it gets damaged in the tear-off, and old nail holes never line up with new ones. Reusing it is how leaks are born. We don't take that shortcut.

2. Paper that proves it. Every Matfi project is permitted, inspected by the city, and closed with a certificate of approval. When your project is done, you don't just have a new roof — you have official proof it was built to code.

3. See every step. You get a step-by-step photo report — before, during, and after — so you can see exactly what was found, what was done, and how it was finished. No 'trust us.' You see it.

4. On your side of the claim. We document the damage, meet the adjuster at your home, and build your file with photos and code references. Insurance work is not a side service for us — it's what we do every week. If your claim is approved, you pay only your deductible.

5. Warranty in writing, included. As a GAF Certified™ contractor, your system includes the manufacturer's warranty — in writing, at no extra charge. No games, no upsell required to 'unlock' it.

6. Straight talk — no price hooks. You will never see a '$4,999 roof' from us. A real roofing system costs what your home's size, design, and code requirements demand — and we'll show you exactly what that includes, line by line. Ask any contractor for the same breakdown.

What to Expect When You Work With Matfi

1. A real free inspection — we get on the roof and take photos; we don't quote roofs over the phone.

2. A clear explanation before you sign anything: what insurance pays, what you pay (your deductible on approved claims), and what happens at each step.

3. One point of contact — you talk to Sammy, the owner, not a call center.

4. A documented project: permit, photo report as the work moves, city inspection.

5. At the end, proof in your hand: photo report, certificate of approval, and your manufacturer warranty documents.

When evaluating ANY contractor, a homeowner should be able to verify all five: (1) a valid Connecticut contractor license, (2) active insurance, (3) manufacturer certification, (4) permits pulled and city inspection passed, and (5) the manufacturer's warranty in writing. If a contractor can't show you all five, keep looking.
